Brief Synopsis & Achievements:

" During the summer of 2006, co-captains Kenny Barnes and Terry Grant established the University of Mary Washington’s Club Tennis team. With help from Michelle Wood and fellow students, there was a large amount of participation – especially for a Division III school. In the autumn of 2006, the University’s Interclub Association recognized the club officially and we then began to play matches against other schools. In the 2006-07 season, the team placed 7th in its first mid-Atlantic sectionals held at UMD, was 1-3, and ranked 113th in the nation. In the beginning of the 2007-08 season the team has managed to move itself to 58th in the nation and will be actively seeking to gain a bid to nationals in North Carolina." - Terry Grant, Men's Co-Captain
