With only four full semesters behind them, the Rutgers Tennis Club is starting the 2005-2006 season strong with many new faces on both their recreation and traveling team. Despite being a relatively new club on campus, they are proud to have been a part of the two past National tournaments at Daytona, Florida and San Diego, California. They have thoroughly enjoyed the competition. The hospitality that schools they have competed with thus far, like Lehigh, Villanova and TCNJ, have shown them that friendships can be made without taking the edge off the competition.
They hope not only to be a winning team at home and on the road this year, but equally important, they hope to develop our recreation team to be a source of learning, competition, and friendship for those who have the desire to play tennis. In striving towards this goal, their club is currently working with their local USTA chapter to ensure that they have the proper guidance and aid to meet the demands of their growing club.
