About the Board

The CollegeClubTennis.Com Advisory Board is comprised of Collegiate Club Tennis Leaders who have an interest in not only improving the website, but improving collegiate club tennis. The goals of the board will be to:

- Discuss current issues in club tennis and how to solve them.

- Develop ways to improve the sport on campus.

- Develop ideas for the website.

- Report events that are happening in all parts of the country



 
Members of the Board

Justin DePietropaolo. Justin is the founder of CollegeClubTennis.Com. He graduated from Penn State in 2004 where he was the president of the Tennis Club. He's now employed by the USTA as a Tennis Service Representative in the Philadelphia area and is still actively involved with Collegiate Club Tennis.


Alex Buzduga. A sophomore Electrical Engineering and Physics double degree at Maryland-College Park, Alex has been involved with club tennis since Fall 06. Previously Match Coordinator, he has been elected President at the end of the Spring 07 semester. His favorite Club Tennis event was the trip to Flushing Meadows for the first Battle of the Sections, and he is thrilled about having started a new annual event: The Maryland Club Tennis Fall Invitational. His other favorite sport is soccer, and he doesn't miss a home game!


Neil Gardner. Neil recently became an alumni after completing grad school at UNC-Charlotte and currently works as an optical engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. During his time as a grad student at UNCC, he was a co-founder of the tennis club and later held the position of President for 5 years. Besides the typical duties of a president, he also created and maintained the club’s website, and came up with the idea of the Fall Brawl club team tournament. He also took time to write articles for his college newspaper and other media outlets, and acted as the president of the Club Sports Council for 2 years. He is still somewhat involved in UNCC Club Tennis behind the scenes, and also plans to attend/volunteer at some sectional tournaments in California and the national tournament in Cary,NC again this year. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree from NC State University and was born and raised in Montreal, Canada.


Shane Baker. Shane is the President of the University of Delaware Club Tennis team. He is a Senior this year, and has been an officer for 2 years. He has been the Treasurer, Vice President, and now President. Since he's been a part of this team, he has witnessed it grow from 20 players to over 40. He also created a B team so more students get a chance to play tennis on campus.


Chris Colon. Chris serves as the Secretary of the George Washington Tennis Club and has been playing tennis for 8 years. He's a history major from Methuen, MA. Chris is a senior and hopes to attend law school next year. GW Club Tennis competed in its first set of tournaments last fall and attended the sectional tournament for the first time. They also fundraise at other sporting events on campus.


Alex Chan. Alex is currently a senior at University of Maryland in Baltimore County (UMBC), majoring in Psychology and minoring in Philosophy. He founded the tennis club at UMBC during his sophomore year and has been the president of the club ever since it was established. Besides tennis, Alex also enjoy playing ping pong, watching movies/television shows, reading magazines, and.listening to all kinds of music.


Andy Rebhun. Andy is the founder of the Wisconsin Club Tennis Team and has served as president for the last 3 years. A senior from Calabasas, CA, he's studying political science and is actively involved on campus as president of club sports at Wisconsin. He thinks the best thing about club tennis is competitive match play and the friendships formed throughout the process.


Kristin Hodges. Kristin is from Franklin, TN where she went to Centennial HS and graduated in 2000. She got her BS in psych from Transylvania University and played tennis, vball, and swam, graduating in 2004. She got her MS in Sport Management from Middle TN State University and started a tennis club there in 2005. In 2006, she came to UK and became a part of their club team and is working on a 2nd MS in Teaching & Coaching. She currently works for the football team as an academic graduate assistant. She's been a USTA members since she was in HS and still participates in tournaments.


Jim Kultgen. Jim is a senior majoring in General Management. He is the co-founder of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Tennis Club and is in his second year as president. Last season, Whitewater's first as a club, the team received the Midwest Section Sportsmanship Award, the USTA/NIRSA Midwest Section Institutional Ace Award, and competed at the National Championships. He is employed at UW-W as the Student Coordinator of Club Sports and as a Sports Information Assistant.


Taylor Moore. A Junior at the University of Florida majoring in Criminology and the current President of the Tennis Club. Taylor was born in Pensacola, Florida and played traveling soccer until his senior year. HS tennis occupied the rest of his free time and now Club Tennis is a perfect outlet to play competitive matches but still have fun. He is currently balancing his time between the Tennis Club and playing for the UF Men's Club Soccer Team. He hopes UF has another strong showing at Nationals due to not losing a single player and being 3rd in the nation.


Henrique Lage Henrique is a senior Aerospace Engineering major at Virginia Tech. He is currently the President of the club team and has served as an Officer for 3 years. His favorite things about club tennis are the friends he has made and the trips that they have shared together. He hopes that the team will continue to do well and that more colleges and universities participate in club tennis.


David Hoover David is a junior Texas A&M computer engineering major from Mesquite, Texas. He has been involved with the TAMU Tennis club and Tennis on Campus since Fall ’05.






Brandon Jackson Brandon is a 5th year member of the University of Minnesota Tennis Club Team. He is a recent graduate of the Carlson School of Management with a B.S.B in Entrepreneurial Management and Marketing. For the past two years he served as the club’s Secretary/Treasurer. In the spring, Brandon plans on returning to school to pursue a Master in Education in Mathematics.
