Summary: After being upset in the semifinals last year, Georgia came back to the Southern Campus Championships in 2008 with a vengeance. In one of the strongest sections in the country, 24 teams came out from 20 schools.

On Saturday, teams were divided into 3 groups, playing single elimination with a back draw. Georgia took the first group, defeating Clemson in the group finals. Georgia Tech and upstart LSU battled it out in Group 2 with LSU pulling off the upset over Tech. Finally, Group 3 looked to be a battle of the Carolinas, with NC State beating UNC. Clemson made it through to the Championships round on Sunday as a wild card.

On Sunday, 4 teams advanced to the Championships Draw. Georgia started out by beating NC State, and LSU defeated Clemson. In a close final, Georgia hung on for the win 19-14, claiming their 3rd Section Championship in 4 years. NC State defeated Clemson for 3rd place. In other brackets, Georgia Tech came back to defeat Georgia Southern and UNC in the Platinum Draw, South Carolina won the Gold Draw, Georgia B won the Silver Draw, Auburn won the Bronze Draw, and Clemson B won the Copper Draw.
